Maartje knows healthcare: she has experience with the financing of healthcare and knows how healthcare is registered. She is good at analyzing data and knows how to turn it into information. She knows different visualization methods and knows how to serve the information in bite-sized chunks. This allows her to take along people with less experience in these complex issues. But above all it is a pleasure to work with Maartje. She is reliable, radiates calm and can put forward her points of view well.”

Rehabilitation Netherlands is the trade association of rehabilitation institutions. In recent years, the affiliated institutions have collected a lot of data (more than 30 million records) about the treatment process of patients in a time registration project. We have analyzed part of this data for Rehabilitation Netherlands. We mainly looked at whether it was possible to distinguish specific patient groups within certain diagnoses and to identify characteristics for treatment trajectories. For example: can a treatment trajectory be distinguished for patients with Acquired Brain Injury and a cognitive impairment? The results of the analysis were discussed at the member meetings of Rehabilitation Netherlands and the Association of Rehabilitation Doctors, where it was decided to use the insights from the analysis for further development of data collection and analysis by rehabilitation institutions.
